Q: Recently, I took my 2004 Ford Focus - with 24,800 miles on it - in for service and was told that my front brake pads and brake rotors needed to be replaced. In addition, the rear brake shoe material had cracked and also needed to be replaced. I told the dealer that I thought it should be a warranty repair, and it was denied. I have all the parts. The only part that has unusual wear is one of the front pads; the other three appear fine. Was I taken advantage of for almost $700?
